* Call for latest price and offersThis is an iconic Australian trip but with a twist, start in Perth and spend time in this dynamic city, enjoy a walk in leafy Kings Park, experience the vineyards of the Swan Valley or hop on the ferry and explore the nearby Rottnest Island. Next up is the Red Centre, get a flight to Uluru and spend a few days exploring the iconic sites. Whether you choose a base walk, dinner under the stars or helicopter flight, Uluru is most definitely a bucket list destination that won’t leave you disappointed. The last stop on this itinerary is tropical North Queensland, you’ll have time in Port Douglas to relax and unwind after a busy few days. We have included an Outer Barrier Reef snorkelling trip as this is a must do activity whilst you're here, but you could also opt to head up to the Daintree Rainforest or just enjoy the boutique shops and plethora of bars and restaurants in Port Douglas. You can tailor this entire itinerary to suit you. Please speak to your Travel Expert for options.
With three days to explore there is plenty to see in the city and in the surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend going to Freemantle to catch the ferry across to Rottnest Island, immerse yourself in the island's culture, learn about the historical heritage and meet the resident quokka’s. You can also easily access the Margaret River wine region from Perth and do a day trip to sample local wines and gourmet produce. If you choose to stay in the city you can enjoy some time in the laid back Kings Park and admire the views of the city.
Overnight – Pan Pacific Hotel Perth
Today leave the city behind and head to the outback to experiences a totally different kind of landscape. Head to Ayres Rock Resort and check in at your hotel, maybe have an early night if you want to see sunrise over Uluru as you’ll need to be up early; but it will definitely be worth it.
Overnight – Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel
Staying within the Ayres Rock Resort you’ll be just 20km from Uluru and from here you can arrange day trips to learn about the Indigenous culture, take a guided tour to Kings Canyon and if you didn’t see the sunrise over Uluru this morning you haven’t missed out as you could opt to dine under the stars and sip on wine as the sun goes down.
Overnight – Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel
After a few days exploring it’s time to head to Queensland and spend some time on the coast. On arrival in Cairns make your way up to Port Douglas and check into your resort. Spend the afternoon on the Esplanade and enjoy the scenic walk on four mile beach.
Overnight – Villa San Michelle Port Douglas
With three full days in tropical north Queensland you won’t run out of things to do, we have included an Outer Barrier Reef day trip as you can’t come to Queensland without experiencing the Great Barrier Reef. Spend the rest of your time exploring the Daintree Rainforest or take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and ride above the rainforest to the village of Kuranda and do a spot of souvenir shopping on Macrossan Street which is right on your door step.
