You’ll be taken to unforgettable locations which will create lasting memories, including a stop at Port Arthur, a visit to the wild Gordon River to try famous Tasmanian salmon and a chance to indulge in artisan produce at Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm. You'll even see the famous Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park. Tasmania is a remarkable destination and offers a very different experience to anywhere else in Australia, making this a state not to be missed.
Your time in Tasmania begins with an afternoon tour of Hobart. See the historic Battery Point, Salamanca Place, the Botanic Gardens, Constitution Dock; the destination of yachts from the Sydney to Hobart race, and Mt Nelson which grants panoramic views over Australia's southernmost city. Enjoy a welcome reception and dinner with your Travel Director and fellow travellers this evening.

Head west into the Mt. Field National Park, walk through lush rainforest to the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls. Journey on to Lake St. Clair, the deepest freshwater lake in Australia and continue through the rainforest to the coastal town of Strahan, the gateway to the World Heritage listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

Today enjoy a lunch cruise on the Gordon River. You’ll be awestruck by the dark waters which are stained amber by buttongrass tannins. Next stop at Sarah Island for an insight into the lesser-known convict history at the Macquarie Harbour Penal Settlement. You'll see Hells Gates, the treacherous entrance to the harbour, and Heritage Landing, a site of a 2,000-year-old Huon Pine. Travel on through the mining towns of Rosebery and Tullah on to your hotel.

This morning, marvel at the inspiring beauty of Cradle Mountain National Park. Join your Travel Director for a guided walk by Dove Lake, you may even spot Bennetts wallabies, echidnas and pademelons along the way. Travel on through green hills to Table Cape for spectacular views of the Bass Strait as you carry on west Picturesque Stanley will be in your sights. Enjoy views of the sheer-sided Stanley bluff known as ‘The Nut’ and take some time to explore before the coach reaches Smithton.

Travel through the coastal townships of Burnie, Penguin and Ulverstone then head inland to Sheffield, home to over 60 murals depicting the area’s rich history. You’ll learn about dairy production methods you'll also get to indulge in a cheese tasting at the award-winning Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm on your way to Launceston, Tasmania’s ‘northern capital’.

Start the day with a visit to the unique natural formation of the Cataract Gorge, home to the longest single-span chairlift in the world, afterwards orientate yourself with your surrounds on a city tour. This afternoon you have some free time to explore Launceston further. Consider an optional experience on a Cataract Gorge River Cruise.

Today's first stop is Bridestowe Lavender Estate, producer of high quality lavender since 1922 afterwards is a quick stop at the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees site. Then follow the picturesque east coast to Bicheno where you'll have time to take an optional experience tour maybe see the Bicheno’s wild penguins as they emerge from the ocean (seasonal), or see the nocturnal Tasmanian Devil.

Your first activity today is a guided walk where you'll experience the grandeur of Freycinet National Park. Walk to the lookout at Cape Tourville that affords astonishing views across brilliant blue water, verdant forest and golden beaches. Carry on to Hobart and travel through Swansea and Orford with a lunch stop in historic Richmond, the village is famous for its elegant Georgian architecture and is home to galleries, tea shops, craft boutiques and museums.

Explore Port Arthur today, taking a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and a fascinating guided walk of the remains of Port Arthur’s infamous convict prison. There will be time for you to wander the site at your leisure. Head back to Hobart and see the amazing natural rock formations of the craggy Tasman Arch, the Devil’s Kitchen and the Blowhole on the way. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner with your Travel Director and fellow travellers at one of Hobart’s popular restaurants.
