The Danna Langkawi can be found between picturesque Pantai Kok Beach and Telaga Harbour, so you’ll get the best of both worlds here. Stroll around the bustling harbour and marina, where many of Malaysia’s richest residents moor their vessels, or take a day trip out to one of the surrounding islands. If you’d prefer to stay local, wander over – or take a five-minute taxi – to Pantai Kok beach, where you can relax on one of Malaysia’s prettiest stretches of golden sand.
Whether you’re a swimmer or a sun lover, the infinity pool at The Danna Langkawi is sure to grab your attention. It’s one of the biggest infinity pools on Langkawi and has three tiers, so you can pick between paddling, floating and swimming any time you fancy. If you’d prefer to stay dry, simply top up your tan on one of the many sun loungers, or sip cold cocktails beneath the shelter of a parasol.
The classic style of the colonial era is brought into the 21st century at The Danna Langkawi. Touches from the Twenties, like ornate rugs, four-poster beds and dark wood furniture take you back in time – but luxury features like rainfall showers and large TVs make each room feel like upmarket and modern. This vintage style extends across the resort too – you’ll notice it everywhere from the Churchill Cigar Room, to the pillars and marble floors of the Verandah Lounge.
Planter’s looks out across the resort’s greenery – so you can enjoy floor-to-ceiling views as you tuck into a bubbly breakfast, or feast on European and Asian flavours in the evening.
Grab a table next to the vast infinity pool and dine on Italian favourites, including pizza, pasta and fresh seafood dishes – or head over to the pool bar for drinks.
This cosy café takes you back in time, thanks to its vintage floor tiles and quaint afternoon tea. Get your caffeine fix, or treat yourself to sweet gelato.
Take a seat in this Twenties-inspired lounge, where you can sip cocktails, premium gin and beers by the light of chandeliers, as you listen to nightly live music.
Puff away at a premium cigar or try fine spirits as you settle into one of Churchill Room’s comfy leather sofas, or try your hand at chess.
The Danna Langkawi has 135 rooms and suites which have all been designed in understated colonial-era style. Opulent four-poster beds and richly coloured rugs take centre stage, while neutral walls and floor-to-ceiling windows make sure every space feels roomy and bright. Or choose one of just 10 beachside villas for a special break, all of which have a private infinity pool and unforgettable ocean views.
