Excellent location

George Town’s Chinese and Indian history can still be seen across the area, and Eastern & Oriental Penang is the ideal base from which to explore. A 15-minute walk takes you to Fort Cornwallis, where you can see remnants of Penang Island’s past defence system, then head five minutes further south to Chew Jetty – a collection of six 19th-century jetties developed by Chinese settlers. Or stroll through the centre of the town to see historical houses and buildings, still standing strong.
