HAWAII MULTI-CENTRES MADE EASY

Hawaii is actually made up for 137 island however only seven of these are actually inhabited. These are Big Island, Maui, Moloka'i, Lana'i, O'ahu, Kaua'i and Niihau. With so many islands how do you choose which ones to visit? You could spend a week on one island or choose to hop around and explore two or three islands, alternatively you could twin a US city like San Francisco or Los Angeles with a Hawaii beach holiday

How do you choose which island in Hawaii to visit? Let us help you make that decision. O'ahu is best for beaches, food and culture. Whereas Big Island is for those looking for hiking, history and wildlife, Maui also has iconic beaches, great hiking and exceptional food. If you want to get away from it all head to Lana'i or if your an adventure seeker then Moloka'i is the island for you. Finally Kaua'i is a great choose for those who enjoy dramatic scenery, postcard sunsets and laid-back vibes.

If you’re considering a multi-centre holiday to the Hawaiian Islands then why not consider twining it with a city break in one of California's sunny coastal cities. You can't fly directly to any of the Hawaiian Islands from the UK, so great stop of destinations include San Francisco and Los Angeles. Speak to our Travel Specialists about spending three or four days in one of these fabulous cities or check out the itineraries below. As another option you can twin Vancouver or Calagry with O'ahu as Air Canada operate a direct flight between these two destinations. Enjoy a couple of days in one of Canada's western cities, exploring the stunning mountains and lakes.

Whether you’re travelling as a couple, family or a group of friends, we’ve got the perfect Hawaii multi-centre for you. Speak to our team to start planning your tailor-made getaway.

Best time to go

Hawaii and California multi-centre

You can pair a couple of different cities in California with Hawaii for a multi-centre holiday. San Francisco is a great option. Spend two or three days exploring the sights; hire a bike and cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge, take a boat ride over to Alcatraz and discover the history of the infamous prison. You also can't come to San Francisco without riding the cable cars and make sure you visit Pier 49, an area filled with shops and restaurants.

Los Angeles is another great city to pair with your Hawaii trip. We'd recommend spending at least four nights in Los Angeles so you can explore the city and surrounding area. Top things to do include hiking to the Hollywood sign, walking around Beverly Hills, seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame and enjoy the pier in Santa Monica, to name a few. The hop on a flight and enjoy one of two Hawaiian Island.

Hawaii and Las Vegas multi-centre

Known the world over for its nightlife, casinos and outlandish hotels, Las Vegas really has to be seen to be believed. You’ll be spoiled for choice on where to stay. If you’re looking for an iconic spot, look no further than the Bellagio with its vast lake and sky-high fountains. For somewhere a little more quirky, check out New York New York Hotel, where you’ll be surrounded by replicas of NYC’s famous landmarks and even an onsite rollercoaster. For something a bit more modern check out ARIA, complete with state-of-the-art technology and three swimming pools.

After a fun time in Las Vegas jump on a plane and head for your chosen Hawaiian Island for relaxation, beautiful scenery and hiking.

Hawaii and Western Canada multi-centre

Why visit one country when you can visit two? Start on the west coast of Canada in Vancouver and enjoy city life but with mountains and rainforest right on your doorstep. Or start in Calgary aka Cowtown, thanks to it's agricultural history. Plus it's only a 90-minute drive to Banff National Park so easy to explore further if you wish.  Then head to your chosen Hawaiian Island for laid-back island vibes, dramatic scenery and delicious food.

Or why not make it a bigger trip and spend a week to 10 days travelling from Calgary to Vancouver through Banff National Park, up the Icefield Parkway to Jasper National Park, past Mount Robson - the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains, then past beautiful towns in southern British Columbia like Clearwater, Kamloops and Whistler. After this epic roadtrip it's time for some relaxation so head down to Hawaii and chill out on the beach for a few days and then explore some of the top sights like Pearl Harbour, go in search of waterfalls and try out some watersports. Best time to visit Hawaii

The best time to travel to Hawaii is between March and September, this is when the destination sees the least amount of rainfall and the highest temperatures. This makes it the perfect time to enjoy the beaches and the water. However, due to Hawaii's location in the Pacific Ocean it is a warm destination at any time of year, with temperatures sitting between 23°C and 30°C. July and August tend to be the most expensive and busiest months to travel to Hawaii so try to plan your trip for May, June or September.
