Packing tips

Singapore has grown massively in the last decade and is now firmly on of Asia’s most glamorous and luxurious cities. Whilst you can opt for a more budget experience of the city, visiting Singapore wouldn’t be complete without exploring the beautiful hotels, the world-class casino and the amazing restaurants and bars.

When packing for a city break in Singapore it’s important to remember you’ll probably be doing just as much sight-seeing as you will be sipping cocktails! As well as the glammed-up outfits and smart evening wear, make sure you pack sensible clothes for during the day that will keep you cool and feeling fresh.

Singapore is known for having a hot and humid climate so it is recommended that you take clothes made of natural fabrics that will help you feel cool even on the hottest of days. We’d also recommend bringing a cardigan or jumper out with you for when you head into shopping centres or hotels – as (more often than not) indoor locations tend to overcompensate the outdoor heat with the cool air-conditioning inside.

Weather in Singapore

Because of Singapore’s location right on the equator, the country has a very hot and humid climate that tends to stay consistent year round. You’ll find the average being around 31º C, but prepare for much higher than that. Because of the humidity, the city can also feel much hotter than it is, so 31º C may feel like 40º C on particularly humid days.

The country is a very wet one, and gets a large amount of rainfall every year. This is partly because of the monsoons that pass through the country.

Whilst the heat is pretty reliable, the country does get a little cooler in December and January, and a little hotter in April and May.
