Relax in the comfort and security of your own ‘home’, go where you want, for as long as you want. Campgrounds are plentiful and many are of a very high standard, offering swimming pools, restaurants and entertainment. Drivers must be over 21 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s licence and credit card.

Opening Days

Cruise America depots are open Monday to Saturday, excluding all US public holidays.

Pick Up And Return

If arriving on international flights it is necessary to spend one night in a hotel prior to collecting your vehicle. Pick-ups 1pm - 4pm; returns 9am - 11am. Transfer to depot is not included unless the Early Bird Departure special is booked.

Minimum / Maximum Rentals

Seven days.

Excluded From Your Hire

The following are excluded but can be pre-purchased
  • Mileage: You can pre-book blocks of 100 miles from approx £27 per block or 500 miles from approx £133 per block. Alternatively you can pay on a per mile basis at the end of the rental at a cost of $0.34 cents per mile. From Apr-Oct an unlimited mileage plan is available from approx £712 for 21 days.
  • Unlimited Mileage Plus: Includes unlimited mileage, one vehicle departure kit, one personal kit for each passenger and unlimited use of the vehicle generator, if applicable. The cost is £827 for rentals up to 21 days. For each additional day, there is an extra charge of £26 per day.

  • Petrol/Propane for cooking & heating
  • Generator $7 per day if required*

Cruise America operates a flexible pricing system which is designed to give you the best rate. It works on the simple laws of supply and demand, so the earlier you book the less you will pay. Our consultants will advise you on the cheapest price; being flexible on the size of motorhome, pick-up location or day can make a big difference to your holiday cost.

Early Bird Departure Special

This pre-paid offer allows guests to arrange an earlier pick-up (9ammidday) and a later drop-off (up to 3pm), and includes return hotel/depot transfers for all members of your party. This early bird offer must be booked at least 30 days in advance. Price is from £260 for the entire party.

Day 1: Atlanta - Montgomery Visit Jefferson Davis’ Confederate White House.

Day 2: Montgomery - Mobile Visit the Battleships at Memorial Park and the once English Conde-Charlotte House.

Days 3-5: Mobile - New Orleans Head for the historic, gracious and unique city of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz for 3 nights. Be sure to visit the famous French Quarter and enjoy some real Cajun cuisine, stroll down Bourbon Street for lively bars and shop on Canal Street.

Day 6: New Orleans - Jackson It’s a long ride to ‘Elvis Town’ so you break the journey at Jackson, Mississippi.

Day 7: Jackson - Tupelo Take the scenic Natchez Trace to Tupelo, Elvis Presley’s birthplace.

Days 8 & 9: Tupelo - Memphis Drive through the Holly Springs National Forest to Memphis for 2 nights. No visit to Memphis would be complete without a visit to Graceland - the home that Elvis loved so much and which is now his final resting place. Maybe you’ll visit the lively jazz clubs and bars on Beale Street and Sun Studios where Elvis recorded his first single.

Days 10 & 11: Memphis - Nashville To the home of Country Music for 2 nights. Be sure to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame whilst you are here, and perhaps a lively music saloon to soak up the atmosphere.

Day 12: Nashville - Chattanooga Visit the Lookout Mountain Battlefields.

1: Las Vegas - Kingman Cross the Hoover Dam and visit the old silver mining town of Chloride on the way.

Day 2: Kingman - Williams Visit Planes of Fame, the Williams Aircraft Museum, or the Flintstones’ Bedrock City.

Days 3 & 4: Williams - Grand Canyon Drive through the stunning landscape to a 2-night stay at the impressive Grand Canyon. Visit the Canyon’s rim as the sun goes down but be sure to be there again at first light for the most stunning photo opportunities.

Days 5 & 6: Grand Canyon - Sedona Visit Oak Creek Canyon on the way, sometimes described as the Grand Canyon’s little cousin.

Day 1: Los Angeles - Santa Margarita It’s a steady drive to America’s ‘Riviera’.

Day 2: Santa Margarita - Hearst Castle Continue on Route 1 to Hearst Castle.

Days 3-5: Hearst Castle - San Francisco Call at Carmel and Monterey and take the famous 17-Mile Drive as you head for San Francisco for a 3-night stay at the “City by the Bay”. You cannot fail to be impressed by the Golden Gate Bridge and the impossible gradients up to exclusive Nob Hill.

Days 6-8: San Francisco - Yosemite Yosemite National Park is the jewel of the Californian wilderness, where waterfalls, winding rivers, dense forests and an array of wildlife transport visitors back in time. During your stay, visit the Bridal Veil, Yosemite Falls and Inspiration Point for the view.

Day 9: Yosemite - Lone Pine You’ll pass Mt Whitney and the Sequoia and Death Valley National Parks as you head for Lone Pine.

Day 10: Lone Pine - Barstow Through the Sierra Nevada and the Mojave Desert to Barstow. Don’t miss the ghost town of Calico.
