Days 1&2: Boston
Arrive into Boston, collect your car and make your way to your hotel for a two night stay. Tomorrow enjoy the sights that this wonderful city has to offer; walk the Freedom trail, stroll on Boston Common, visit Quincy Market and the North End or perhaps venture to Cambridge and historic Harvard University.

Day 3: Boston - Green Mountains
Leave Boston this morning and pass through rolling countryside and sleepy villages with white clapperboard houses on your way to Rutland in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Be sure to stop at Quechee Gorge and on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee on your way to north Conway in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. You'll pass the winter ski resorts before you enter the White Mountains National Forest.

Northwards to Lancaster and over the Connecticut River to the Canadian border; then on into Quebec province and to Quebec City for a two night stay.

Discover romantically medieval Quebec City and experience the locals'joie de vivre. Day 7: Quebec - Montreal
Take the scenic route along the banks of the St Lawrence River if you have time to spare, as you make your way to the largest French speaking city outside of France for a two night stay.

Day 8: Montreal

Day 9: Montreal - Ottawa
Travel west this morning to the capital region and Ottawa, seat of the Canadian government. Take a stroll along the Rideau Canal which in winter becomes the world's longest skating rink. Pass by the residences of the Prime Minister and Governor General and visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Museum.

Day 10: Ottawa - Toronto
Head south to Kingston today, in the 1000 Islands region, where you have time to take an optional cruise if you wish. Continue along the shores of Lake Ontario to cosmopolitan Toronto for a two night stay.

Day 11: Toronto
Explore the many facets of this world-class destination. Toronto boasts a fascinating mix of multi-cultural neighbourhoods; from Chinatown to Little Italy, Greektown to Little Portugal. Day 12: Toronto - Niagara Falls
South this morning to the Niagara Peninsula, famous for its wines; then on to picturesque Niagara-on-the Lake before continuing to Niagara Falls. Be sure to see them illuminated tonight.

Cross the bridge into the USA and travel through the Finger Lakes region and Appalachian Mountains of upstate New York to Albany and on to your final night in New England.
