Where to go on a sunny holiday per month

by Travelbag on 23 September 2016, 12:09PM

It’s sadly safe to say our Great British effort of a summer is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to the sun just yet. This blog will give you an insight into where is gloriously sunny each month of the year, so no matter what time of the year you want to travel; you can wear those shorts and shades!

January- Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town

Carry on the celebrations of Christmas and New Year but in Cape Town, South Africa. If you're looking for all day sunshine but the average daily max temperature being a comfortable 27°C, this location is ideal. Visit the second largest city in South Africa in January, when there is eleven hours of sunshine each day, which gives you plenty of time to visit attractions like Table Mountain and Sandy Bay!

February- Barbados, Caribbean

Barbados

If you’re looking to escape the icy weather and relax in a hammock whilst looking out onto a tranquil blissful beach, Barbados is up there! You certainly won't be needing your winter coat and ear muffs here, as the sun will be shining for up to 10 hours and the average temperature will be 29°C. Be sure to take your snorkelling gear as Barbados is great for diving and snorkelling.

March– Cancun, Mexico

Cancun, Mexico

Visiting Cancun, Mexico in the month of March is an excellent idea for many reasons but the fact that it's one of the driest months and the temperature is around 34ºC makes it a no-brainer. Immerse yourself in the tropical climate but don't forget to visit the Cancun Underwater Museum whilst you're there.

April- Orlando, USA

Orlando, Florida

Orlando, Florida the home of Walt Disney Resort and the ideal family location, is an incredibly popular destination and its gorgeous weather may have something to do with it. April is when visiting Orlando is said to be the best, as you can still enjoy the 28ºC and not have to worry about the humidity.

May- Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok

Uncover Dusit Palace Park and stroll around the iconic Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok, Thailand whilst lapping up the heat. Be sure to take your shades here as the weather is rather delightful. Experience the old-warm charm mixed with the new modern elements, which make this capital so memorable.

June- Singapore, Asia

Singapore, Asia

With an array of things to get up to like the Night Safari, Universal Studios and the Botanic Gardens, Singapore is an incredibly fascinating destination. Taste the fabulous cuisine and delve into the streets of shops in June time when the weather is glorious but not too humid.

July- Japan, East Asia

Japan Travelbag

Want to enjoy July at a temperature hotter than Great Britain's Summer? Experience the wonderfully unique culture of Japan in July, which is there summer season. With the temperature being 30°C, you can explore with ease but make the most of the brilliant weather.

August- New York, USA

New York City

We think August is the best time to visit the Big Apple as you can meet the locals at events like the Central Park Film Festival, whilst watching great films in the New York outdoors. This month is one of New York’s hottest but don't worry you won't be a lobster just yet, as the temperature will be around 25°C, so nice and comfortable.

September- Hawaii, USA

Hawaii Travelbag

Exploring Hawaii's 19 sun-drenched islands in September is a fantastic time to visit, as it's a relatively quiet time and one of the hottest months here. Say “aloha” to Hawaii and it's 25°C-30°C weather but if you fancy an hour of super hot heat the Volcanoes National Park will certainly give you that!

October- Dubai

Dubai

Picking between a city break and a beach break can be a hard choice, but in Dubai, you can do both. With an endless list of amazing restaurants, attractions to visit and the temperature being between 22°C to 35°C in October, you'll never want to leave.

November- Cambodia, Asia

Cambodia

Looking for stunning architecture in pure tranquillity? Cambodia may just be the place for you this November. With the average temperature being 26°C, exploring Angkor Wat and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum will be a treat!

December- Melbourne, Australia

Melbourne, Australia

Spending Christmas in the sunny Melbourne...now that does sound like a good idea! Stroll along Collins Street with your arms full of shopping bags (presents to yourself from yourself) in the enjoyable 25°C, what better way to spend Christmas time?
