4 Alternative Places To Christmas Shop

by Travelbag on 03 November 2016, 17:11PM

It’s not quite time to pop the Christmas tree up yet, but it’s definitely not too early to plan your Christmas adventure…. especially when shopping is in the itinerary! If this year you want to shop till you drop somewhere a bit different, we may just have a destination perfect for you.

Toronto Christmas Market, Canada

Toronto at Christmas

After that crisp, cosy and joyous feeling whilst you shop? Toronto is where we highly recommend you visit this winter. Whether you want to take a walking guided tour of the spectacular market or make your own way around, you will come across some of the most unique crafts people and artists selling one off pieces. If you’ve got someone who’s tricky to buy for, you’ll certainly find something for them here. Be sure to leave room in your suitcase…you’ll need it!

Dubai Winter Festival, Dubai

Dubai

We highly recommend visiting Dubai all year round, but at this time of the year, it is just that little bit more magical. Dubai Mall maybe the home of magnificent malls but markets like this are the best places to find something different. With the Dubai Winter Festival celebrating its 5th year, there’s simply no better time to visit. This fun festive-themed market has live performances and carol singers but most importantly, cute handcrafted gifts which make perfect stocking fillers. Just before you head to the beach, don’t forget to take a trip to Santa’s grotto!

George Street, Sydney

Sydney at New Year

George Street is one of Sydney’s best-known shopping precincts and this is the place to be in to get that joyful, festive Christmassy feeling without any freezing cold weather dampening your spirits. Immerse yourself in the 25 °C heat but also merry events and activities for all age groups. It’s safe to say George Street has everything from handbags to homeware, so you can get all the families gifts in one street.

Winterfest, Hong Kong

Hong Kong

If you’re planning on taking the ultimate shopping adventure with your partner, the Winterfest truly does offer that romantic Christmas ambience. Once you’ve grabbed a special seasonal offer from a range of stores, fuel the excitement with a mouth-watering meal. Watch the 3D Light Show, listen to live choirs and place your own personal “Love Lock” on the railings to seal your romance. Don’t forget your camera here as The Statue Square Christmas Trees makes the perfect background for a selfie.

Ready to pack your festive slippers and take to the skies? Head to your local Travelbag shop, give us a call or take a look here for great offers and deals for these locations and much more!
