Discover 6 of the Middle East’s Best Beaches

It’s no secret that Thailand and the Caribbean are home to some of the world’s most spectacular beaches. Jamaica’s Seven Mile Beach and Koh Samui’s Chaweng Beach are just two places that spring to mind when talking about the world’s most exotic beauty spots.

And while both regions are synonymous with paradise, there is another destination that rivals both. It may come as a surprise but the Middle East is quickly gaining a reputation for it’s luxurious beaches.

Venture along the Gulf of Oman or Arabian Gulf, from Dubai to Abu Dhabi via Fujairah and you will find a world of sun-kissed beaches. We’ve made a list of the six best beaches in the Middle East to help you find an alternative for your next dream beach holiday…

Dubai beaches

Dubai beaches

1. Jumeirah Beach, Dubai

When it comes to beaches in Dubai, few destinations rival the sheer luxury of Jumeirah Beach. Backed by the city’s breathtaking skyline, this stunning coastal strip is the full package with scuba diving and watersports among the many activities on offer. If you’d simply like to relax, you can sit back and unwind from the comfort of your sun lounger while taking in views of the azure Arabian Gulf and the Burj Al Arab.

2. Jebel Ali Beach, Dubai

Venture further along the coast toward the JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel and you’ll soon stumble upon Jebel Ali beach. This palm-fringed stretch of stunning coastline really is a sight to behold. If you’re looking for relaxing beaches in Dubai, this is the perfect option for you. Jebel Ali beach gives a more peaceful and relaxed account of Dubai that’s set away from all of the action, making it perfect for relaxing holidays to Dubai.

Abu Dhabi beaches

3. Emirates Palace Beach, Abu Dhabi

As with most beaches in Abu Dhabi, the Emirates Palace beach is privately owned and exclusive to guests of the Emirates Palace hotel. If you’re looking for the utmost splendor of one of the region’s best beaches, you’ll want to book your holiday at this first-rate resort. The beach regularly appears on ‘best of’ lists with a wide range of activities on offer for the whole family. Watersports, beach bars and a selection of restaurants can all be found around this superb beach resort, where white sands meet the crystal clear waters.

4. Yas Beach, Abu Dhabi

Yas Beach is known all over the region for its cleanliness, beach bars and fun activities. Among the many beaches in Abu Dhabi, Yas Beach is often the one that keeps holidaymakers coming back. The beach works on a pay per entry basis, which often includes sun lounger hire and access to all of the club’s first-rate facilities. It’s close proximity to Yas Island’s major attractions, including Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld means you’ll never run out of things to do.

Fujairah Beaches and Ras Al Khaimah Beaches

5. Al Aqah Beach, Fujairah

Nestled on the extraordinary Gulf of Oman coast is Fujairah’s Al Aqah beach, a stunning stretch of golden coastline that serves a number of luxury resorts in the area. Like many resorts in the UAE, you’ll find water sports, beach bars and restaurants dotted along this gorgeous stretch of coast. For a day out to remember, head to the Al Boom dive centre where you’ll learn how to scuba dive from dedicated professionals. Likewise, if you just want to kick back and take things easy, this is the beach for you.  The Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort and Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort both occupy a private stretch of beach here. Book your stay in either to take advantage of your own private sun lounger and all other hotel facilities.

6. Ras Al Khaimah Beach, Ras Al Khaimah

Situated an hour outside of Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah’s beautiful Arabian Gulf facing coastline offers the perfect setting for a day in the sun. You’ll find everything needed for the perfect Middle East beach holiday in this first-rate destination.
The beach itself is served by a number of luxury hotels, including the DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach. If you’re heading away with your loved one on a romantic holiday to the Middle East, an evening walk along the coast is highly recommended.
