Are you thinking of visiting the Caribbean? In the final part of our three part guide to the Top 10 must-see Caribbean islands we’re going to look at what Jamaica, St Lucia and Tobago have to offer you.

We hope our recommendations over the last two weeks help you to plan the holiday of a life time.

Part 3: Jamaica, St Lucia and Tobago

Jamaica

Jamaica is the place where holiday dreams come true. This islands offers you so much - beautiful beaches, wonderful cuisine and people who’ll treat you like one of the family!

Intro1

Jamaicans are passionate about music, dancing and having a good time. During your stay on the island you should visit the Bob Marley Museum which was originally his recording studio.  Classic Bob Marley tracks are constantly on the radio so you’ll find yourself humming along, whether you’d consider yourself a fan or not.

Intro2

Dunn's River Falls is a place you must go and experience for yourself. With the help of a guide you can take 45-minute hike up a waterfall, the sense of achievement you’ll get from reaching the top will be immense. It’s suitable for both children and adults.

Intro3

If you like adventure, the Mystic Mountain is a unique attraction – but it’s not for the light-hearted. You’ll take a zip-wire down a mountain, travel though the rain-forest on a bobsled and soar above the trees on a chairlift.

St Lucia

If you want a Caribbean holiday which offers something unique then St Lucia is the perfect destination. It’s the only place in the world where you can drive through a volcano!

Intro4

During your stay, you should try to visit the Piton Mountains and rainforest, and go snorkelling to see the coral reef up close. There are some excellent restaurants to dine in but you might want to try the street food available in the towns too. St Lucia is famous for its banana and salt fish dish and breadfruit so make sure you try some while you’re on the island.
Any holiday to St Lucia wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Treetop Adventure Park in Dennery.  You can fly through the treetops on zip wires and hike through the rainforest, admiring the animals and birds you come across.  The Diamond Botanical Gardens and Latille Waterfalls are also worth checking out during your stay.

Intro5

If you can, try to experience a Gros Islet Street party on a Friday night – you won’t be disappointed as you boogie the night away with the locals and other holidaymakers. You’ll enjoy good music, drink and delicious seafood.

There are plenty of great bars and nightclubs to try, just ask at your hotel for recommendations, they’ll be happy to help. The people of St Lucia love to party and there’s a vibrant nightlife for you to enjoy.

Tobago

Tobago is a place where there’s always something going on and there are lots of food festivals and other events for you to enjoy during your holiday. Their heritage festival lasts all year and features drama, music and dance as well as incredible feasts and live demonstrations.

Intro6

If you make the trip to Scarborough Port, you’ll be able to see a whole host of wonderful boats and ships. The Arnos Vale Adventure Farm and Nature Reserve is a great place to go for a day trip to see a vast array of birds, iguanas and butterflies. Bird-lovers will also appreciate a visit to Little Tobago Island which is located just outside of Speyside and is the home of a seabird sanctuary.
