5* Hua Hin

by John Cathersides on 08 October 2015, 16:10PM

John Cathersides, Travelbag's Apprentice Sales Consultant attended the recent Familiarisation trip to Thailand. He reports back on the second part of the Hua Hin section of the trip:

Hua Hin, a conveniently situated beach resort only three hours transfer ride away from Thailand's capital Bangkok, is one of the country's most popular and most exquisite beach resorts. A great multi centre stop, it has an array of different activities to suit all holiday makers, so whether you're into your sports or your shopping there will be more than enough to keep you entertained; from golf to the famous night markets and historic temples.

Hua Hin enjoys great weather all year round with high temperatures at approximately 34 degrees celsius, however the peak time to go would be between December and April with averages temperatures of 30 degrees.

Hua Hin boasts a large number of hotels along the coastline with many of them luxury 4-5* and boasting direct access to the sandy beach. The 5* Centara Grand Resort & Villa offers exactly this, boasting a location adjacent to the fabulous beach and situated just a stones throw away from the lively entertainment district full of bars and great restaurants. This hotel is perfect for any length of stay in Hua Hin.

Comprising of 249 guest rooms and separate Pool villas it is a beautiful colonial style hotel that is perfect for families, couples or anyone looking for that relaxing and authentic Thailand experience with its lush tropical surroundings.

Another amazing 5* accommodation is the Hyatt Regency Hotel. It has the envious position of being situated directly along 200m of beach front and despite the huge property you still feel you are the only person in the world when basking in the glorious sunshine or taking in the spa, which is probably the best in Hua Hin. It has hundreds of rooms which are all very different, from the leading deluxe rooms to the amazing Barai suite which offers full luxury, sophistication and privacy. This hotel is ideal for families as they have the option of interconnecting rooms for even more space, plus children up to age of six eat free and those aged between six and 12 eat half price offering great value for families.

Finally the 5* Sheraton Hua Hin. This hotel offers 240 guest rooms and suites with some gorgeous views over their wonderful tropical gardens. All leading Garden View Rooms offer a balcony area to relax in or their garden terrace rooms offer direct access to the tropical surroundings. A huge kids club and a 4000 sqm swimming pool will keep people of all ages entertained and appeals to both families and couples.

All in all Hua Hin offers a great convenient beach destination just a three hour drive away from Bangkok so it's a great place to relax after spending a few nights In the capital. With great dining options at all the hotels and fantastic entertainment districts and shopping, you will always find something to do and find your hotel the perfect place to wind down with a glass of wine overlooking the amazing coastline.
