Take a wander down the pebbles of the custom built foot reflexology path and start a journey of self-discovery and holistic renewal with The Spa at The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Maldives. Taking a unique approach to health and beauty rituals, The Spa offerings include a myriad of treatments, many incorporating the island’s traditional therapies, based on treasured knowledge passed down through generations. The Spa prides itself on its use of products, such as Thalgo, harnessing rich marine properties and Vita Man, which utilises the unique and potent natural power of Australian Plant, Herb & Fruit extracts; masculine, luxurious and therapeutic. In addition to the vast array of treatments on offer, the ‘Male Spa Menu’, ‘Sweet Pea Spa’ kids’ treatments and ‘The Spa Café’ which serves healthy and delicious cuisine, ensures a complete spa experience which the whole family can enjoy.

In addition to a vast array of luxuriant facial and body rituals, The Spa offers unique, innovative therapies, focusing on ancient traditional practices. The Spa’s philosophy is based on the combination of Organic Earth & Vibrant Sea. The Organic Earth is represented by Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine treatments and Traditional Maldivian treatments with the provision of Thalgo therapies representative of the Vibrant Sea.

Traditional Therapies
Chinese: Rooted in the ancient philosophy of Taoism and dating back more than 5,000 years, The Spa’s traditional Chinese therapies include highly restorative and personalised treatments of acupuncture, cupping and Tui Na Massage. Combining massage, acupressure and other forms of body manipulation, these therapies help to restore balance, improving and promoting health and vitality. The Chinese Doctor, a highly trained specialist administers the treatments in the calm and traditional surrounds of the Chinese Treatment Room, whose interior is inspired by classical oriental design.

Bird’s Nest superfoods are highly regarded in Chinese traditional medicines and renowned within Asia as one of the optimum health products. The Spa offers a range of 4 Bird’s Nest products including Secret Bird’s Nest and Love Passion Bird’s Nest which harness incredible restorative properties. This unique substance is said to speed up tissue repair and healing in the body.

Maldivian: Discover the ancient wisdom of local Dhivehi Medicine, known as ‘Dhivehi beys verikan’ at The Spa. Inspired by traditional herbalism and age-old bodywork techniques, these exotic rituals make use of local resources including Maldivian white sand, locally grown herbs and fresh coconut oil. Relax and drift away to the sounds of the Indian Ocean, whilst enjoying the ultimate Maldivian therapy experience. In keeping with The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi’s GIVE philosophy (Get Involved, Visionary Experiences) designed to give back to the community, part of the proceeds from each Traditional Maldivian Treatment will be donated, helping to support island community initiatives.

Ayurvedic: Ayurveda is the Indian System of Alternative Medicine, which is more than 5,000 years old and designed to heal the mental and physical discomforts arising due to the fast pace of modern life. After a personal consultation, The Spa’s resident Ayurvedic Doctor creates bespoke wellness journeys, drawing on ancient healing techniques inspired by the ancient wisdom famously known as the ‘Science of Life’. Choose from deeply relaxing treatments such as Shirodhara, which encourages a blissful state of mind and body consciousness or Udvarthanam, to cleanse nourish and detoxify inside and out.
