To get the most out of your Malaysia multi-centre holiday, you’ll need to plan your trip carefully. The climate varies across the country. Kuala Lumpur is driest between May to August and, similarly, Borneo’s dry season runs from March to September. Meanwhile, Penang and Langkawi see dry, sunny days between December and March.

If you’re visiting a second country, you’ll also need to take that climate into account. For instance, Bali is warm all year round, but November to March is monsoon season – so it would be best to avoid travelling at this time of year. Alternatively, if you’re planning to combine Malaysia and Australia into one holiday, you should book to go in May.
