July 2007: Stella Travel Services, the Australian owned global travel organisation, acquires Travelbag.
2006: Cendant Travel Distribution Services becomes Travelport and enters into a definitive agreement to be sold by Cendant Corporation to an affiliate of The Blackstone Group for approximately $4.3 billion.
2005: Acquisition of ebookers group, including Travelbag, by Cendant Corporation, becoming part of Cendant Travel Distribution Services.
2003: Acquisition of Travelbag Holdings by ebookers for 55m.
2001: Travelbag Holdings acquires Bridge the World.
1988: There were 70 staff handling mail order travel arrangements from clients across the UK and Eire.
A Far East department opened which handled packaged and tailor-made holidays to Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
