On a small island within the UNESCO Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve, Reethi Beach Resort has a Robinson Crusoe feel. The traditional Maldivian bungalows are built with natural materials, while the laidback atmosphere gives you a true taste of island life. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the pristine sea fills with majestic manta rays between June and October. This idyllic spot is withn easy reach, too – it’s just a 35-minute seaplane flight from Malé, followed by a 15-minute boat ride to the resort’s jetty.
When you stay at Reethi Beach Resort, you can relax in a rustic Maldivian bungalow, either set on the sands close to the water’s edge or perched on stilts over the lagoon, offering direct access to the Indian Ocean. Each villa has plenty of space and bags of charm. You’ll have an outdoor terrace with sun loungers, while the Deluxe Villas also benefit from a traditional Maldivian Swing, where you can get comfy and admire the view. Elsewhere, the Family Suite features two bedrooms and has easy access to the resort’s pool – ideal for a getaway with the kids.
Reethi Beach Resort boasts a plethora of things to do. You can enjoy a range of activities and watersports – and there’s even a five-star PADI dive centre. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the knowledgeable instructors can take you on a guided diving trip. Other excursions are available, too, including dolphin-watching and fishing. Simply want to unwind? At the beautiful beachfront spa, skilled Balinese therapists offer pampering sessions tailored to you. Choose from rejuvenating massages, indulgent facials, moisturising pedicures and much more.
This buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside lovely views of the gardens and sea. There’s a different theme each night, so you can try a variety of cuisines during your holiday.
Built on stilts over the lagoon, Moodhu offers an à la carte menu. This calm, romantic setting is perfect for a pre-dinner tipple or relaxing meal – and this place is also open as a 24-hour coffee shop.
This open-air dining spot boasts fantastic sea views. Dine under the stars as you watch the chefs whip up fusion cuisine, including grilled meats, Tandoori dishes and wood-fired pizzas.
With just five tables, this intimate restaurant is right by the beach. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion – you can tuck into Maldivian and international dishes, and listen to the sea.
Looking for a snack during the day? Alifaan is right by the pool, and serves up a variety of light bites, from burgers and pizzas, to puddings.
The main bar, Rasgefaanu is split into several zones. Sip cocktails on the open-air deck by the beach, enjoy live entertainment in the semi-enclosed bar, or play snooker and table tennis in the games area.
Right by the nicest stretch of beach on the island, Veyo Bar has every drink under the sun. Choose from juices, smoothies and soft drinks, or opt for fruity cocktails and ice-cold beers.
There are several beach bars dotted across the island. So you can grab a refreshing drink after a snorkelling trip, or cool down while you’re sunbathing on the sands.

The villas at Reethi Beach Resort are elegant and spacious, designed in a typical Maldivian style featuring natural materials. Most of the villas are set among the tropical foliage which fringes the white-sand beach. But, if you’re planning to spend a lot of time in the sea, opt for a Water Villa. Built on stilts, these gorgeous villas have direct access to the lagoon.
