Day 1: Los Angeles - Phoenix/Scottsdale:
Make your own way to one of the departure hotels in either downtown Los Angeles or the airport. Cross the Mohave Desert into Arizona where tonight is at leisure to explore Phoenix/Scottsdale with their southwestern architecture and wonderful desert climate.

Day 2: Phoenix - Sedona - Grand Canyon:
Enjoy a fantastic day of sightseeing today starting with a visit to Montezuma's Castle, ancient cliff dwellings built by the Sinagua Tribe. Travel through pretty Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon en-route to the magnificent Grand Canyon.

Day 3: Grand Canyon - Monument Valley - Kanab:
Travel along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon for a visit to unforgettable Monument Valley, with its distinctive landscape of red-rock mesas and buttes. Visit striking Lake Powell, created by man with the flooding of the Glen River Canyon, before an overnight stay in Kanab.

Days 4 & 5: Kanab - Bryce - Zion - Las Vegas:
Visit two contrasting national parks today, starting with Bryce Canyon's multi-coloured landscape of giant sandstone pillars before moving onto Zion National Park, popular with hikers and rock climbers. Enjoy a two-night stay in fabulous Las Vegas with a full day to explore at leisure.

Days 6 & 7: Las Vegas - Yosemite National Park:

Days 8 & 9: Yosemite - San Francisco:

Day 10: San Francisco - Santa Maria:
Travel south to the beautiful seaside town of Monterey, and enjoy the coastal scenery along 17-Mile Drive plus a visit to the charming and exclusive village of Carmel. Head inland and drive to Santa Maria for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Santa Maria - Los Angeles Departure:
There's a chance today to explore Santa Barbara, the Spanish-influenced town along the 'American Riviera'. Return to Los Angeles late this afternoon, where the tour concludes either in downtown or at the airport.
