Days 1 & 2: Arrive Los Angeles – Anaheim:
Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and pick up your Alamo rental car. Drive to the Anaheim area and check in to your hotel for a two-night stay exploring Disneyland and the beautiful beaches of Orange County.

Day 3: Anaheim – Palm Springs:
Take the relatively short drive to Palm Springs Desert Resorts, a great place for shopping, eating, playing golf or relaxing by the pool. Take a tram ride up to the 8,516 feet high summit of Mount San Jacinto or hike through the Indian Canyons with their waterfalls and palm trees. (120 miles)

Days 4 & 5: Palm Springs – Scottsdale:
On the way to Scottsdale, visit the amazing Joshua Tree National Park, with its weird and wonderful plant life, cacti gardens and rock formations. Stay for two nights in Scottsdale and enjoy the large selection of art galleries, restaurants and shopping opportunities. (330 miles)

Day 6: Scottsdale – Sedona:
Going north from the desert climate of Southern Arizona, make your way to the breathtaking red rock country of Sedona. Visit the ancient Native American settlement at Montezuma Castle on the way. (150 miles)

Day 7: Sedona – Grand Canyon:
Continue through Oak Creek Canyon, one of the most scenic areas of the Southwest. You may like to take a detour to see Sunset Crater, an ancient volcano and Wupatki National Monument. Arrive at the Grand Canyon in time for sunset viewing. (120 miles)

Days 8 & 9: Grand Canyon – Las Vegas:
Drive west to the dazzling lights of Las Vegas, passing over the Hoover Dam en-route. Enjoy two fun-filled days and nights in the original city of entertainment and have a flutter at one of the many casinos. (274 miles)

Day 10: Las Vegas – Sequoia National Park:
Make an early start and leave Las Vegas behind you, as you head through the Mojave Desert and into the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Tonight's destination is Visalia, close to Sequoia National Park, whose giant redwoods are thought to be the oldest living things on Earth. (345 miles)

Days 11 & 12: Sequoia – Yosemite:
Drive north to visit Yosemite, the most visited of all California's national parks. You will have plenty of time to explore the towering rock formations and waterfalls of Yosemite Valley and to head to Tuolumne Meadows in the quieter section of the park. (185 miles)

Days 13 & 14: Yosemite – San Francisco:
Spend two nights in San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities in the United States. You will have a full day at leisure to explore Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown, or take a boat trip to Alcatraz. You still have use of your rental car whilst in San Francisco, so don't miss the chance to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, stopping for photographs on the Marin Headlands. Day 15: San Francisco Departure:
Your tour concludes today on check-out from your hotel. Return your Alamo car by the same time it was picked up on day one to avoid any additional charges.

• 14 days intermediate (standard tour) or full size (superior tour) 2-door car hire with Alamo on a fully-inclusive basis.
