Day 1: Arrive Denver:
Arrive into Denver International Airport and pick up your Alamo rental car before making your way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the sights of Denver.

Day 2: Denver – Cheyenne:
Hit the trail by heading north into the state of Wyoming and to its capital town of Cheyenne, home to famous Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo for ten days every summer. If you miss the rodeo you can catch a glimpse of Western life at the Frontier Days Museum. (101 miles)

Days 3 & 4: Cheyenne – Rapid City:
Leave Cheyenne early for a long day's drive into the legendary Black Hills of Dakota, where gold was discovered in the 1800s, and check in to your hotel at Mount Rushmore or in Rapid City for a two-night stay. Visit the extraordinary Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse National Memorials, view the wild buffalo herds of Custer State Park and explore the stunning lunar landscape of Badlands National Park. Day 5: Rapid City – Deadwood:

Day 6: Deadwood – Sheridan:
Leave the Black Hills today and head back into Wyoming to the town of Sheridan in the foothills of the Big Horn mountain range. Your route will take you by the geological anomaly of the Devil's Tower, sacred to Native Americans. (208 miles)

Days 7 & 8: Sheridan – Yellowstone:
Enjoy a scenic drive through the Western town of Cody, then head on to Yellowstone, the world's first national park and a paradise for wildlife-spotters. Check in to your hotel or lodge for a two-night stay. With its plethora of natural attractions such as Old Faithful, the immense Upper and Lower Yellowstone Falls, Lake Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs and many other geothermal areas, Yellowstone just begs to be explored. Day 9: Yellowstone – Jackson Hole:
Travel south to the lively resort town of Jackson Hole, whose wooden buildings and sidewalks give it the feel of an archetypal frontier town. Visit the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for some real Western hospitality and entertainment, or enjoy white-water rafting on the Snake River. Just outside the town is Grand Teton National Park, dominated by the Teton mountain range and providing breathtaking scenery. (141 miles)

Day 10: Jackson Hole – Salt Lake City:
Leaving Jackson you will travel through Idaho into Utah to the Mormon capital of Salt Lake City, host of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Temple Square and the huge Mormon Tabernacle, the symbolic heart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, are both undeniably impressive attractions. (249 miles)

Day 11: Salt Lake City – Departure/At Leisure:
Guests enjoying the 11-day tour enjoy some free time this morning before dropping off their rental vehicles in time for an onward flight. 15-day guests enjoy a full day of exploration in Salt Lake City.
Day 12: Salt Lake City – Steamboat Springs:
An early start to cross the border into Colorado and explore the quarry and museum of the Dinosaur National Monument, from where countless dinosaur skeletons have been excavated. Head into the Western-styled resort town of Steamboat Springs and explore its historic downtown area or enjoy your choice of outdoor sports. (311 miles)

Day 13: Steamboat Springs – Estes Park:
Perhaps enjoy a soak at the Hot Sulphur Springs resort, before heading into the visually stunning Rocky Mountain National Park, whose collection of peaks make it the most beautiful area of the American Rockies. Cross the Continental Divide as you drive along the impressive Trail Ridge Road, and head for the alpine town of Estes Park for your overnight stay. (142 miles)

Day 14: Estes Park – Denver:

Day 15: Denver Departure:
Your tour ends today upon check-out of your hotel. Return your Alamo car in time for your onward flight.
