Full details available on request.

Day 1: Picton – Ship Cove – Endeavour Inlet
Board the Dolphin Watch Marlborough vessel for a dolphin-watching experience and eco-tour of Motuara Island, before arriving at Ship Cove and the start of the Queen Charlotte Track. This scenic and historic reserve was a favourite anchorage for Captain Cook during his explorations in the 1770s. Today’s walk will take approximately five hours and you will cover around 14km. As you walk you will pass through virgin beech forest and absorb the stunning views of the Queen Charlotte Sound. This evening check into peace and tranquillity at the Furneaux Lodge, where you will spend the night and enjoy dinner with your fellow walkers. (LD)
Accommodation: Overnight: Furneaux Lodge

Day 2: Endeavour Inlet – Camp Bay/Punga Cove
Today's walk is mainly coastal and takes approximately four hours (12km), during which you will travel around the inlet, passing through regenerating native bush. As you walk you’ll hear the call of bellbirds, fantails and other New Zealand native birds and your well-informed guide will ensure you don’t miss out on viewing some of the spectacular flora and fauna this region has to offer. You will pause at the head of the bay to learn more about the mining industry that once thrived there in the 1880s. Then, following the main track onwards into Big Bay, you will work your way towards Camp Bay and, a few minutes later, you will reach the welcome sight of Punga Cove, set amongst stunning scenery and a fitting end to your day. The Punga Cove Resort makes the perfect retreat to relax in style. (BLD)
Accommodation: Overnight: Punga Cove Resort

Day 3: Punga Cove – Torea Saddle
Today is probably your most challenging day as you have 22km to cover. You will traverse the ridgeline between Punga Cove and Torea Saddle near Portage. Truly grand vistas abound round every corner – a wonderful reward. Those who feel like a day’s rest can opt for a boat ride around the bays of the Queen Charlotte Sound to Portage (own expense). You will check in to the beautiful Portage Resort for your overnight stay. This property is nestled in a wide, quiet bay. (BLD)
Accommodation: Overnight: The Portage Resort Hotel (see above)

Day 4: Torea Saddle, The Portage – Anakiwa
This morning, bid farewell to Portage and ascend to the ridgeline once again to enjoy yet more stunning views. Today’s walk is approximately seven hours long (20km), crossing open farmland and grand native bush, a fabulous end to this superb walk. You will return by boat from Tirimoana Wharf and take a water-taxi back to Blenheim or Picton to complete your journey. (BL)
