Day 1: Arrive Christchurch
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Enjoy the rest of today at leisure in the ‘Garden City’.

Day 2: TranzAlpine Train - Franz Josef
This morning board the award-winning TranzAlpine train for a journey renowned as New Zealand’s ‘Great Rail Adventure’. Enjoy stunning scenery as you journey through spectacular gorges, river valleys and across the magnificent Southern Alps. Disembark at Arthur’s Pass and continue to Hokitika by coach. Continue to Franz Josef this evening. (BD)

Day 3: Franz Josef - Queenstown
Enjoy a day of scenery as you travel along the Haast River by safari boat, capturing breathtaking views of the massive, glacier-formed Haast River Valley. Rejoin the coach and continue to Queenstown. This evening, you have a choice of four dining experiences. (BD)

Day 4: Queenstown, Freedom of Choice

Day 5: Milford Sound Cruise - Te Anau
Today follow the Remarkables mountain range and trace the shore of Lake Wakatipu to Fiordland National Park. Travel through the Homer Tunnel and arrive in Milford Sound to be met by Mitre Peak rising sheer from the glassy waters. Board the Red Boat cruise to journey the full length of this beautiful fiord, and this afternoon arrive in Te Anau. (BD)

Day 6: Te Anau - Dunedin, Freedom of Choice
Leaving the dramatic landscape of the Fiordland region, journey through rolling Southland countryside. This afternoon you choose an activity at no extra cost. (BD)

Day 7: Dunedin - Mount Cook
Journey north along the coast to view the unique Moeraki Beach boulders. Turn inland and travel past the beautiful azure-coloured man-made lakes of Pukaki, Aviemore and Benmore, to Mount Cook. (BD)

Day 8: Mount Cook - Christchurch
