A Walk In The Wilderness

Escape from the heart of Auckland and within 30 minutes experience unspoilt native New Zealand with this daily guided eco-tour. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of both the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean from the Arataki Centre perched high on the ridge of the Waitakere Ranges, the city’s largest regional park. You will have the opportunity to learn and admire the beautiful, traditional Maori carvings before continuing on to stroll beneath rugged cliffs on a wild, west-coast black sand beach. Walking the easy trails amongst giant tree ferns and New Zealand’s famous kauri trees in the lush rainforest, you can unwind by the cascading waterfall and even take the chance to swim beneath it.
