Day 1: Auckland
On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred by limousine to your city hotel.

Day 2: Auckland – Coromandel Peninsula
The rugged Coromandel Peninsula is a beautiful area, with beaches in abundance, well-frequented by Kiwis looking to escape it all, you will immediately see why it is so popular. A ride on Driving Creek narrow-gauge railway takes you through verdant bush to an interesting artists’ colony. (B)

Day 3: Coromandel - Rotorua
Travel along the Bay of Plenty coastline before heading inland across the volcanic plateau to the geothermal city of Rotorua. It is the heartland of Maori culture and it offers an incredible array of adventures and experiences. At Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Village, you will stand upon volcanoes, peer into massive craters, see boiling mud, exploding geysers and marvel at the unspoiled native forests that cloak the land. This evening, enjoy a twilight cruise across Lake Rotoiti to the natural thermal springs of Manupirua Pools before enjoying a lakeside barbecue.

Day 4: Lake Tarawera Cruise & Buried Village
Lake Tarawera lies at the foot of majestic Mount Tarawera, a dormant volcano that last erupted in 1886. Enjoy an exclusive cruise aboard a 50ft luxury catamaran, the Clearwater Spirit, which will visit historic sites while still allowing time to fish, jet-ski or bathe in the thermal waters of Hot Water Beach before enjoying a gourmet picnic lunch. Later visit the buried village of Te Wairoa. (BL)
Day 5: Lake Taupo, Napier
An hour south of Rotorua is Lake Taupo, a gigantic volcanic crater lake, larger than the island of Singapore! View the Huka Falls and the Wairakei Geothermal project. Continue on to Napier, often referred to as the Art Deco capital of the world following a thorough rebuilding after a massive earthquake in 1931.

Day 6: Hawke’s Bay & surrounds
Widely regarded as the ‘Tuscany of the South Pacific’, the region boasts some of New Zealand’s best and oldest wineries. Enjoy a guided wine trail and taste some of the great wines produced locally, visit the world’s largest mainland gannet colony or simply relax. (B)
Day 7: Wairarapa - Wellington
Visit the popular village farmers’ market where local growers and craftspeople sell their goods. Later head to Te Mata Peak for spectacular views over the area and enjoy time in Havelock North, possibly the ‘richest little town’ in New Zealand, before heading to Wellington.

Day 8: Picton and Marlborough Sounds
This morning is at leisure to explore what Wellington has to offer. This afternoon, travel across Cook Strait where, on arrival in Picton, you join your water-taxi transfer to Torea Bay and transfer over the saddle to your hotel. (B)

Day 9: Kenepuru Sound
A day to relax and marvel at the magic that is the Marlborough Sounds. Resort staff will share their love of the Sounds with you through the range of water and nature-based experiences they put at your fingertips. (B)
Day 10: Kaikoura Coast - Christchurch
Return by water-taxi to Picton. Rejoin your coach and travel through Blenheim to Kaikoura, world-renowned |as the whale-watching centre of New Zealand. Later continue south to Christchurch. (B)

Day 11: TranzAlpine Train - Fox Glacier
The TranzAlpine is rated one of the top six scenic train journeys in the world. From Arthur’s Pass, situated 737 metres above sea level, your driver/guide will meet you and then travel along the dramatic west coast to Fox Glacier. (B)

Day 12: Haast - Queenstown
Today, view incredible scenery as you travel past the untouched native forests and pristine lakes of the World Heritage Westland National Park and Haast Pass, then over the magnificent Southern Alps to the resort of Queenstown, New Zealand’s premier holiday destination. (B)

Days 13, 14 & 15: Explore Queenstown

Day 16: Arrowtown - Mount Cook National Park
Set beneath the rugged Crown Range is Arrowtown, a fascinating collection of mining cottages with an atmosphere straight out of last century. Enjoy a stroll through this historic gold-mining village. Later travel through the towns of Omarama and Twizel before the Mount Cook National Park, a World Heritage-listed site. Mount Cook is Australasia’s highest mountain at 3764 metres. (BD)

Day 17: Tasman Glacier - Christchurch
Experience the Tasman Glacier, New Zealand’s largest, in the most unique way possible. An experienced guide will whisk you away in a stable MAC Boat to explore the melting ice-face of the Tasman Glacier where you will also get to touch and taste 400-year-old icebergs. Later visit beautiful Lake Tekapo and the tiny Church of the Good Shepherd. (B)

Day 18: Depart Christchurch
Today you will be transferred to Christchurch airport for your onward flight. Here, we bid you ‘Haere Ra’, a fond farewell, and hope you leave with many happy memories of your stay in Aotearoa, New Zealand. (B)
