Discoverers' Cruise

Head for the Place-Royale and board your comfortable cruise boat from the old port. Sit back and relax, and gain a different perspective of Québec City aboard this 90-minute trip along the mighty St. Lawrence River, which drains all five of the Great Lakes into the Atlantic. As you cruise along the shoreline, a guide relates the story of France's explorations and colonial interests in the New World, and explains the origins of many of Québec's most famous landmarks. Whilst on board, take in the spectacular views of Québec City, its distinctive skyline dominated by the historic Chateau Frontenac. The cruise also takes you past the Cap Diamant and the Ile d'Orleans, before providing an awesome, close-up view of Montmorency Falls. At 250 feet, these stunning falls are actually one-and-a-half times higher than Niagara.
