Day 1: Arrive in Montréal
On arrival at Montréal make your way to your downtown hotel where you will spend the first two nights. This evening join your tour director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner and reception, where you will have time to get acquainted with your travelling companions. (D)

Day 2: Montréal
This morning you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Montréal, including St. Joseph’s Oratory, McGill University, Mount Royal plus a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Stop for lunch at one of the city’s fine restaurants before exploring this vibrant city on your own. The whole of the afternoon is free to spend as you wish. Perhaps you will visit the fashionable shops of Place Ville Marie or Place Bonaventure, or head out to the Olympic Complex. Montréal is delightful with many things to offer at any time of the year. Day 3: Montréal – Québec City
Follow the shores of the mighty St. Lawrence River through Trois Rivi?res to the lovely Montmorency Falls today. Lunch is served beside these inspiring falls, higher than Niagara. Continue on to the fertile meadows of the Beaupré Coast and visit the impressive pilgrimage shrine of Ste. Anne de Beaupré and its famous monumental basilica. Journey to Québec City for a two-night stay at the superbly situated Chateau Frontenac. Québec City is sprawled atop sheer cliffs rising above the narrowing St. Lawrence River, reflecting an old world charm and the grace of another era. Highlights include the Plains of Abraham, the provincial Parliament Buildings, Port St-Louis and the narrow, cobbled streets, lined with boutiques and cafés. (BLD)

Day 4: Québec City
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Québec, capital of the province and the only walled city north of Mexico. Greyed by the brush of time, ancient stone houses huddle beside the venerable churches and historic monuments. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and explore this delightful city with a stroll along Dufferin Terrace or through the historic Old City. (B)

Day 5: Québec City – Ottawa
Travel west, passing Montréal along the route of early French explorers and fur traders. Arrive in Ottawa, the Canadian capital perched on the banks of the Ottawa River, with beautiful flower gardens and tree-lined streets. Check into your hotel for the next two nights. (BLD)

Day 6: Ottawa
Explore Ottawa on a morning orientation tour. View the magnificent gardens and regal architecture, see the Royal Canadian Mint and City Hall, the residence of the prime minister and the Rideau Hall, the governor-general’s home. The remainder of your afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Day 7: Ottawa – Toronto
Travel to Kingston, which boasts some imposing architecture and where the great river opens onto Lake Ontario. You will enjoy a delightful lunch and cruise through the beautiful Thousand Islands before continuing to Canada's largest city, Toronto, for the evening. (BLD)

Day 8: Toronto
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of the landmarks of Toronto, including grand parliament buildings and the University of Toronto, plus a visit to magnificent Casa Loma mansion. The remainder of the day is free before enjoying an entertaining evening at the theatre. (B)

Day 9: Toronto – Niagara Falls – Toronto
Today, see one of the wonders of Canada – mighty Niagara Falls. In addition to viewing the thundering falls from high above, you will descend to the churning waters of Niagara River aboard the famous Maid of the Mist for an exhilarating boat ride to see the falls from below – a truly unforgettable experience. Visit the charming village of Niagara-on-the-Lake for lunch and meander through the numerous shops and boutiques. Return to Toronto for a farewell reception and dinner. (BLD)
