Day 1: Arrive Montréal
Arrive at Montréal Airport, collect your rental car and head downtown for your overnight accommodation. Explore the Old Town’s restaurants and bars in the evening.

Day 2: Montréal – Québec City
Follow the shores of the St. Lawrence River further into this French-speaking province, to reach Québec City. (156 miles)

Day 3: Québec City
Walk through the city’s enchanting cobbled streets, enjoy the art galleries or stroll to the Plains of Abraham. There is plenty to do in this quaintest of North American cities, but be sure to save some energy to enjoy the incomparable choice of restaurants and bars this evening.

Day 4: Québec City – L’Ile-Aux-Coudres
On leaving Québec City stop at the spectacular Montmorency Falls before you traverse the beautiful mountains of the Charlevoix Region. A ferry across the St. Lawrence, to arrive at Ile-Aux-Coudres, is a fine way to end the day. (72 miles)

Day 5: Ile-Aux-Coudres – Saguenay Region
En route to Chicoutimi, is pretty Tadoussac at the confluence of the Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence River. As you follow the Fjord inland, take a stroll at Saint-Rose-du-Nord on one of the hiking trails. (159 miles)

Day 6: Saguenay Region – St. Alexis-des-Monts
Head south to the dense forests of St. Alexis-Des-Monts, where wildlife and nature outnumber towns and people. (275 miles)

Day 7: St. Alexis-Des-Monts

Day 8: St. Alexis-Des-Monts – Montréal
Check out of your hotel and take a leisurely drive down to Montréal. Please return your car to the Alamo depot by the same time it was picked up on the first day to avoid any additional costs. (150 miles)
