Day 1: Arrive Toronto
On arrival at Toronto International Airport pick up your rental car and head downtown to your hotel and home for the next two nights. Enjoy the fine cuisine, varied nightlife and world-class shopping of Toronto, or relax in the comfort of your hotel for the remainder of the day.

Day 2: Toronto / Niagara Falls
Today, venture out to Niagara Falls, one of the Natural Wonders of the World. The town of Niagara also has many shops, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions to offer. Try a helicopter flight over the falls, or a short ride out to the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. (163 miles)

Day 3: Toronto – Huntsville
Travel north through the rural villages of Upper Ontario before reaching Huntsville, on the boundaries of Algonquin Provincial Park. This famed wilderness area is where you will spend your next two nights. (134 miles)

Day 4: Huntsville
The back country hiking trails of Algonquin’s vast wilderness are the best place to look for beavers, porcupines, raccoons and the odd black bear. You may also want to visit the Muskoka Pioneer Village, an outdoor living history museum.

Day 5: Huntsville – Pembroke
Continue through Algonquin Provincial Park, perhaps stopping at the visitor centre before heading to Pembroke. (153 miles)

Day 6: Pembroke – Ottawa
Your journey today will take you to Ottawa, the nation’s capital, but not before passing through the rural towns of Renfrew and Arnprior on the Québec–Ontario border. On arrival into Ottawa, visit the British-inspired parliament buildings, or just stroll the streets and dine in one of the city’s many restaurants. (94 miles)

Day 7: Ottawa – Toronto
After spending the morning in Ottawa, possibly visiting the National Gallery or the Royal Canadian Mint, you will need to head to Toronto to drop off your rental car at the airport.
