Day 1: Launceston
On arrival you will be transfered to your hotel. Later enjoy a visit to Cataract Gorge followed by a visit to Seahorse World or Platypus House to see a variety of fascinating creatures. Tonight join your fellow travellers and crew for welcome drinks and dinner. (D)

Day 2: Launceston – Freycinet National Park
During lavender flowering season (Dec–Jan), enjoy a tour of Bridestowe Lavender Farm. Follow the coast to Bicheno and visit East Coast Natureworld where you will get the chance to see a Tasmanian Devil. Travel to beautiful Freycinet National Park, one of Tasmania’s treasures. On arrival you are joined by a local guide for a tour along the dramatic coastline. This evening savour a Tasmanian speciality, a seasonal crayfish dinner. (BD)

Day 3: Freycinet National Park - Port Arthur
Today journey to Eaglehawk Neck to discover the Tasman Peninsula. Continue on to Port Arthur Historic Site, site of Tasmania’s penal settlement and cruise the beautiful Mason Cove. Tonight, enjoy a delicious Dine Around Dinner at Port Arthur, before retiring to the only hotel at the site. (BD)

Day 4: Port Arthur - Hobart
After breakfast head out to explore the Tasman Peninsular and historic Richmond. Later discover the delights of Hobart with Freedom of Choice Touring – you have the option to visit Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory, enjoy a historical guided walking tour of Hobart or have a pint or two at the Cascade Brewery. (Seasonal closures may limit your choice). Later visit the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. Tonight enjoy your Dine Around Dinner. 9 Day passengers join the tour at the hotel tonight. (BD)

Day 5: Hobart
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast then stroll through the bustling Salamanca Markets. Travel through the Huon Valley and walk among the tree tops on the Tahune AirWalk. Alternatively, you may choose to join the Peppermint Bay Cruise (additional expense), details on request. (B)

Day 6: Hobart – Strahan Village
Travel to Mt Field National Park, where a short walk leads to the beautiful Russell Falls. Continue deep into the World Heritage-listed area of Lake St Clair-Cradle Mountain National Park and later in Queenstown, join the wonderfully restored West Coast Wilderness Railway. Enjoy a buffet dinner, followed by a liqueur and chocolates, in a lovely setting overlooking the Strahan harbour. (BD)

Day 7: Strahan Village – Cradle Mountain
Join a cruise across Macquarie Harbour to the pristine wilderness of the Gordon River. Stop at Heritage Landing and walk through unspoilt rainforest. With a local guide, visit Sarah Island’s infamous penal colony. Later, drive to the wild slopes of World Heritage Cradle Mountain where you can enjoy the Freedom of Choice Touring. Choose from a premium wine and cheese tasting, a guided alphine flora and fauna walk, a night spotlight wildlife tour or an hour at the Santuary Spa and Sauna. (BLD)

Day 8: Cradle Mountain - Smithton
This morning join a local guide to explore Cradle Mountain and discover Leven Canyon. Then continue to Stanley and see ‘The Nut’, an unusual rock formation before heading to Smithton for the next two nights. (BD)

Day 9: Smithton
Join a local guide for a visit to the Woolnorth Wind farm. At nearby Cape Grim, breathe in the cleanest air in the world. Enjoy morning tea then visit the maze at Dismal Swamp. This evening take pleasure in our exclusive gourmet dinner of local Tasmanian fare at Smithton. (BD)

Day 10: Smithton – Launceston
Continue on to Sheffield to explore this quaint town where over 30 murals have been painted. This afternoon enjoy a tour and tasting at Ashgrove Cheese Factory, and then join a fully guided tour of historic Woolmers Estate, before heading back to Launceston. (B)

Day 11: Launceston
Travel through the Great Western Tiers before exploring historic Ross. View the famous bridge and the heritage township. Return to Launceston and enjoy a farewell dinner that includes a private wine tasting and a specially selected menu. (BD)

Day 12: Depart Launceston
This morning is at your leisure to enjoy the city before your airport transfer. (B)
