Bruny Island Wilderness Coast
Tour 786 – 9 hrs
Untouched wilderness and ocean coast wildlife, the spectacle of massive stark cliffs shaped by forces of nature. Bruny Island has an abundance of indigenous wildlife, seals, sea eagles, albatrosses, cormorants, shearwaters and gannets may be seen in their natural environments – Tasmanian wilderness at its best! Departing Hobart, skirt the D’Entrecasteaux channel, pass through the towns of Snug and Kettering, then onto the ferry for the crossing to Bruny Island.
Touring around the island will include stunning Adventure Bay, Breathing Rock, an explosive blow hole, The Monument - stark 300-metre high Jurassic dolerite cliffs, Friars Rocks - home to over a thousand Australian Fur Seals and sea bird nesting areas, and pristine rainforests and beaches. Remember to pack plenty of film for this spectacular wilderness tour! Departs daily except Saturdays October-April.
