Discover the beautiful world of nature at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat situated in World Heritage Lamington National Park, 3,000 feet above sea level. O’Reilly’s has been family-owned for over 90 years offering a unique Australian experience and legendary hospitality. From Kingfisher Bay Resort you encounter Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island. Experience the awesome wonder of driving along a beach which stretches as far as the eye can see, swim in the pristine freshwater lakes and enjoy a guided 4WD nature tour.

Day 1: Brisbane – Lamington National Park
Your transfer from Brisbane takes you to one of the world's great subtropical rainforests, 3,000 feet above sea level – Lamington National Park, home to O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. Walk through the treetops on the famous Tree Top Walk and learn about the extensive subtropical plants.

Day 2: O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat
Start the day with O’Reilly’s famous birdwalk and meet the hundreds of beautifully coloured birds that visit each morning to feed around the guesthouse. After breakfast, head out on a 4WD bus trip to a spectacular lookout and enjoy fresh billy tea and damper or, if you’re feeling a little more energetic, you might like to take a half-day guided rainforest walk – the choice is yours. This evening join a night tour, an audio visual presentation or simply relax. (B)

Day 3: O’Reilly’s – Fraser Island
After an early breakfast your personalised transfer will take you from O’Reilly’s to Brisbane’s Roma Street Station, where you will board the Queensland Rail Tilt Train to Maryborough. From here you will be transferred by coach to Hervey Bay, where you will be met by Kingfisher Bay staff and transferred over to the island by ferry. (B)

Day 4: Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island
Before breakfast join a ranger and seek out some of the birds of Fraser. At 8.10 depart on the Beauty Spots full-day ranger-guided tour. Discover amazing pockets of rainforest growing in sand, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, shipwrecks and coloured sands. You’ll drive along one of the world's most spectacular highways – Seventy Five Mile Beach – and learn the fascinating history of Fraser Island. Return to the resort late afternoon. (BL)

Day 5: Fraser Island – Brisbane
After a leisurely breakfast return to Brisbane. (B)
