Day 1: Sydney – Hunter Valley
Collect your car and travel to the Hunter Valley, one of Australia’s oldest and most important wine growing regions. Take a horse-drawn carriage picnic tour, go on a bike ride or drive yourself to one of the many wineries, before arriving at your hotel where you will stay for the next two nights. (175km / 109miles)

Day 2: Hunter Valley
Free day to wine taste, relax and explore Hunter Valley.

Day 3: Hunter Valley – Port Stephens
Early risers can enjoy an amazing hot air balloon ride with spectacular view of the Hunter Valley (own expense) before heading to Port Stephens. From there you can enjoy a harbour cruise or try your hand at surfing (own expense). (90km / 56miles)

Day 4: Port Stephens – Coffs Harbour
Take a morning cruise with the dolphins(own expense) or a stroll around the harbour before heading on to Coffs Harbour. Travel north along the Lakes Way, a scenic route through rainforest with spectacular views inland and towards the ocean. Continue on through the Manning Valley and Taree to Port Macquarie, where the award-winning Sea Acres Rainforest Reserve is well worth a visit. (407km / 254miles)

Day 5: Coffs Harbour – Byron Bay
Drive through Grafton and Ballina to Byron Bay. Grafton is a "Garden City" famous for the magnificent Jacaranda Trees. Bryon Bay has some of the best beaches in Australia, ideal for walking, swimming or surfing and there is a also a wide choice of restaurants, cafés and bars. (254km / 159miles)

Day 6: Byron Bay – Brisbane
