Discover the true meaning of indulgence and luxury at Sydney’s most prestigious waterfront address, with sweeping views across Sydney Harbour to the Opera House, Circular Quay and the historic Rocks area. Depending on your arrival time in to Sydney, you may choose to go heli-sightseeing today or on day three, your full day at leisure. You’ll be transferred from your hotel to the heliport to discover "the most beautiful city in the world" from above. Sweep over the harbour and view the famous Harbour Bridge and Opera House, city skyscrapers and the colourful sailing boats.
Day 2: Sydney Tour and Harbour Cruise
A fabulous chauffeur-driven morning tour has been booked for you today. See the highlights of Sydney, including the beautiful northern beaches, traverse the Harbour Bridge for panoramic views of the Sydney skyline and enjoy a stroll under the Norfolk Pines in Manly, a wonderful seaside resort. Return to the city in time for a fabulous luncheon cruise on beautiful Sydney Harbour. Your afternoon is at leisure for you to set out and explore Sydney. Perhaps take a closer look at the nearby Rocks area, visit the Sydney Opera House or take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens. (L)
Day 3: Full day at Leisure
Explore at your leisure. If you didn’t have time on your day of arrival for the heli-sightseeing then now’s the time to enjoy your 20-minute scenic flight.
Day 4: Sydney – the Blue Mountains
Today your limousine awaits to take you to the fabulous Blue Mountains. Only 90mins from central Sydney, commanding the most spectacular views of the Jamison Valley, your accommodation will be at Lilianfels for the next two nights. This historic home – built in 1890 for the NSW Chief Justice and Lt. Governor – has been lovingly restored to its former splendour, where the grace and style of a bygone era find new expression. Facilities include a fabulous indoor swimming pool and for those looking to be pampered, an extensive health club with float tanks, herbal baths, saunas, steam and relaxation rooms.
Day 5: Blue Mountains
The ruggedly handsome landscape of the Blue Mountains offers a multitude of opportunities to enjoy many outdoor activities. Well-worn tracks weave through the vast Australian bushland. The days are crisp and clear, ideal for long walks, mountain biking, horse riding, abseiling and 4WD expeditions. There are four golf courses within 15 minutes drive of Lilianfels. No set activities have been arranged for you today – the hotel will be more than happy to arrange any excursions you may require.
Day 6: Blue Mountains via Sydney – Ayers Rock
A limousine will be waiting to take you to the airport for your flight to the Red Centre. On arrival a private 4WD transfer will take you to Longitude 131°, one of the best wilderness hotels in the world. Your accommodation is in one of 15 luxury tented suites with spectacular uninterrupted views towards Ayers Rock. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the free-form swimming pool and later enjoy an aperitif as you absorb your exclusive view of the breathtaking and ever-changing sunset. Many nights offer a clear evening sky with the spectacular canopy of stars that rise over the outback providing a magical setting for your alfresco dinner. (D)
Day 7: Ayers Rock
Your stay at Longitude 131° is inclusive of an outstanding touring programme exclusively designed for the guests of this luxury, tented safari property. Rise early this morning to view the spectacular sunrise over Ayers Rock or the Olgas. Your touring is planned around private vantage points and off-peak times, and the knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into this magical area. The resort offers fine dining and the backdrop of the breathtaking, exclusive view of the ever-changing Ayers Rock is an ideal complement. (BLD)
Day 8: Ayers Rock – Cairns
After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your onward flight to Cairns. On arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation at Silky Oaks Lodge & Healing Waters Spa on the edge of the Mossman Gorge, in the midst of the Daintree Rainforest, where you will stay for the next three nights. Enjoy a true rainforest experience in the lap of luxury, garden paths and walkways link your rainforest ‘treehouse’ with its wide vernadah overlooking the rainforest, so although you are close to nature there is no sense of 'roughing it'. Your afternoon and evening is at leisure for you to enjoy the lodge's hospitality. (BD)
Day 9: 4WD Wilderness Experience
Today you will be taken on a unique environmental guided tour by 4WD to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree River. Featuring expert naturalist guides, and in small, intimate groups, you will enjoy a wonderful day discovering the diverse array of bird life, a variety of unusual plants and animal life. Don’t be at all surprised if you see the famous estuarine crocodiles basking on the banks of the Daintree River. Your day is certain to bring you closer to the wonders of this World Heritage region. You return to the elegance of Silky Oaks Lodge where you can dine in the restaurant and relax in the lounge. (BD)
Day 10: At leisure in Tropical North Queensland
Today is yours to enjoy as you wish. The picturesque town of Port Douglas, famous for its Four Mile Beach, boasts a marina lined with boutiques and harbour side cafes and the complimentary morning drop-off and afternoon pick-ups provide opportunities to explore. Perhaps you may like to ride the scenic railway through the Barron Gorge, it’s all within easy reach of Silky Oaks Lodge, but don’t be surprised if it becomes more tempting to leave the tourist spots to the tourists. Once you settle in at the Lodge, you simply won’t want to leave. (BD)
Day 11: Port Douglas – Hayman Island
Following breakfast you will be transferred by limousine to Cairns Airport for your flight to Hamilton Island, then onwards by luxury cruise to Hayman Island. Located in the spectacular Whitsunday group, Hayman presents a unique private island experience of natural beauty, tranquillity and adventure, matched only by the luxury of the resort. For the next three nights your Palm Superior Room will hide you away in your own, private, cool and shady retreat. Dining on Hayman is a true culinary experience with five very different restaurants, each with their own individual atmosphere and style, ranging from informal to exotic. Azure presents Australian contemporary cuisine from an open show kitchen whilst specialties of traditional Asian cultures are prepared with innovative flare at Oriental, overlooking a ceremonial tea house. Be assured that wherever you chose to dine the very best of local and international produce available will be used. (B)
Days 12 & 13: Hayman Island
Over the next two days you will discover that Hayman is the perfect spot to unwind, relax and get away from it all. The resort's spa centre, the Retreat, provides the perfect place to pamper and revitalise the mind, body and soul, and, for the more active, simply choose your pleasure, hire a dinghy and cruise to Whitehaven Beach, snorkel and amaze at the underwater world, enjoy a few games of tennis, practice your putting on the golf green, the list is endless and you are free to indulge in as much, or as little, as you please.
