Day 1: Arrive Taipei:
On arrival into Taipei you will be transferred to your chosen hotel.
Accommodation: Superior: Howard Plaza (or similar), Deluxe: Landis Taipei (or similar)

Day 2: Morning city tour:
After breakfast visit Taipei's highlights including the National Palace, Martys's Shrine and Pao-an Temple. Your afternoon is at leisure to further explore the city. (B)

Day 3: Taipei - Sun Moon Lake:
Transfer through varied picturesque landscapes to Sun Moon Lake, the largest natural lake in Taiwan. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Wen Wu Temple and Tse-En Pagoda before checking in at your hotel. (B)

Day 4: Sun Moon Lake - Tainan - Foguangshan Monastery:
Drive south to the old capital of Taiwan - Tainan. Rich in cultural and historical sites, visit Chikan Tower, Confusius Temple and Fort Anping before proceeding to Foguangshan Monastery - the largest monastery in Taiwan. (B)

Day 5: Faguangshan - Taitung:
You may choose to wake up early to join the monastery's chanting followed by a short meditaiton course. Proceed to Taitung and the renowned Chihpen hot springs. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the springs. (B)

Day 6: Taitung - Taroko Gorge:
Drive north along the east coast where mountain peaks and valleys meet the shores of the ocean. Visit the Stone Steps, Caves of the Eaight Immortals and the Bachi Scenic Lookout before continuing to Taroko Gorge. (B)

Day 7: Taroko Gorge - Taipei:
Spend the morning at the stunning Taroko Gorge and visit the Tunnel of Nine Turns, Swallow Grotto, Eternal Spring Shrine and Taroko Gorge. Continue along the Su Hua highway to visit Chingshui Cliffs before arriving into Taipei in the early evening. (B)

Day 8: Depart Taipei:
At leisure before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
