Day 1: Taipei - Sun Moon Lake:
Depart Taipei for the three and a half hour leisurely journey to Sun Moon Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Taiwan which derives its name from its unusual shape. Famous for the inspiring views and breathtaking scenery, Sun Moon Lake attributes much of its history and culture to the Shao Aboriginal tribe - possibly the earliest settlers to the region.

Day 2: Sun Moon Lake - Tienhsiang:
Spend the morning at the Lake and visit Wen-Wu Temple, Tse-En Pagoda and the aboriginal village of Tehua. Take a drive across the spectacular Central Mountains, stopping at the highest road point in Taiwan before continuing on to Tienhsiang, the closest town to the magnificent Taroko Gorge. (B)

Day 3: Tienhsiang - Taroko Gorge - Taipei:
After breakfast, visit the incredible Taroko Gorge, renowned for its sheer marble cliffs, deep gorges, winding tunnels and the Liwu River, which flows through its craggy landscape. Spend time discovering the Tunnel of Nine Turns, Swallow Grotto, Eternal Spring Shrine and Taroko Gorge Gateway before continuing along the northeast coast to Taipei. (B)

Day 4: Taipei:
Today is at leisure in Taipei to explore further before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
