4 Day East Coast Experience

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Terengganu:
Fly on Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu Airport. You will be met and transferred to the stunning Tanjong Jara Resort for your two night stay.

Day 2: Tanjong Jara:
Today spend your day at leisure. The Tanjong Jara resort offers excursions to nearby Kapas Island or a Kampong tour, which you may be interested to join. Otherwise, relax and enjoy the beach and facilities of this wonderful resort. (B)

Day 3: Tanjung Jara – Kuantan:
A short panoramic drive along the coastal road will bring you into the state of Pahang. You will see Malay villages built in traditional kampong style and have the opportunity to sample a traditional delicacy – Lemang (glutinous rice cooked in bamboo with coconut milk). Your journey continues passing Chukai, known as the Texas of Malaysia due to the discovery of natural gas. Lunch will be taken en route. Arriving into Kuantan you will be taken on a short tour of the town before checking into the Hyatt Regency Kuantan (see page 58). (BL)

Day 4: Kuantan – Elephant Conservation Centre – Kuala Lumpur or Kuala Lumpur Airport:
Depart Kuantan for a drive through the countryside to the Elephant Conservation Centre at Kuala Gandah. Upon arrival you will meet the park authorities followed by a 30-minute documentary video highlighting the activities of this centre. Later, you can have the opportunity to ride and bathe with the semi-wild elephants. Return to Kuala Lumpur in the late afternoon at approximately 6pm or drop off at KL International Airport. (BL)
