Essential Xian

Day 1: Arrive Xian:
Upon arrival in Xian you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Xian or simply relax after your flight.

Day 2: Terracotta Warriors & City Tour:
Enjoy a full-day's sightseeing in one of China's most famous ancient and cultural cities, with a history spanning over 3,100 years. Visit the tomb of the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty (Qin Shi Huang – 221-207BC), with its thousands of life-size terracotta warriors. There is also the chance to see a video presentation on the life of Qin Shi Huang. Return to Xian in the afternoon and visit the Great Mosque, the atmospheric Muslim Quarter bustling with street sellers and market stalls and the Big Goose Pagoda. (BL)

Day 3: City tour - depart Xian:
Your morning tour will take you to the impressive City Walls as Xian is one of only a handful of Chinese cities where these are still visible. From here proceed to the Bell Tower where musical performances are held inside most mornings and afternoons. Finish your tour at a local market - an ideal place to pick up some last minute souvenirs before your transfer to the airport. (B)
