Day 1: Hoedspruit – Tzaneen
After collecting your Avis car at Hoedspruit Airport, near to the Northern Kruger, head towards the emerald green tea estates of Tzaneen, for the next two nights. For more information on the Coach House see page 45. (D) (125km)

Day 2: Tzaneen
A day to explore. Visit the Debegeni Falls, a series of cascades tumbling 240ft into a deep pool or the Modjadji Nature Reserve. (BD)

Day 3: Tzaneen – Mashatu
Leaving early, journey towards Polokwane (Pietersburg), the capital of the Limpopo Province, and then continue north to the Pont Drift border post, from where you will be collected for the next two nights. Here, the land gets drier and the savannah bush takes on the horizon. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and enchanting campfire dinner. (BD) (250km)

Day 4: Mashatu
Enjoy an early morning game drive with your expert tracker, who will unravel the dramas that unfolded during the night. Return for a well-deserved brunch before relaxing by the pool during the heat of the day. Gather again at about 4pm for your evening activity. With a drink in hand and from a memorable vantage point you will be able to savour the sun setting on the African bush, before returning to camp for the evening meal around the camp fire. (BLD)

Day 5: Mashatu – Hoedspruit
A final early morning game drive before breakfast and your departure. (B) (450km)
