Although three quarters of Botswana is technically a desert, the remarkable Okavango Delta is a lively oasis of wildlife and wetlands rivalled only by Chobe and Linyanti Game Reserves in the north-east, and grasslands of the Kalahari. Abu Camp
Six luxurious tents situated in a riverine forest in the Okavango with a resident family of eight elephants. Elephant-back safaris are their speciality and a unique experience. Three night package from £3548 per person.

Kings Pool
Arguably the most luxurious camp in Botswana set within the Linyanti Game Reserve. Highlights include nine guestrooms overlooking a hippo-filled lagoon and two unique hides, including a sunken one where the viewing panel is just above the surface of the lagoon.
