Botswana Tour
Although three quarters of Botswana is technically a desert, the remarkable Okavango Delta is a lively oasis of wildlife and wetlands rivalled only by Chobe and Linyanti Game Reserves in the north-east, and grasslands of the Kalahari. In adopting an enlightened tourism policy, Botswana has focused on a high-quality, low-volume tourist industry in order to preserve the environment and provide the finest possible authentic wildlife experience. The majority of these unrivalled experiences occur in private reserves or concessions, home to some of the most luxurious camps and lodges in Africa. We have selected just a few of our favourite camps and would be delighted to tailor-make an itinerary for you.
Abu Camp
Six luxurious tents situated in a riverine forest in the Okavango with a resident family of eight elephants. Elephant-back safaris are their speciality and a unique experience. Three night package from £3548 per person.
Vumbura Plains
Bordering Moremi Game Reserve this camp offers both land and water gameviewing. 14 luxury guestrooms each have their own plunge pool and outdoor shower. From £350 per person per night.
Kings Pool
Arguably the most luxurious camp in Botswana set within the Linyanti Game Reserve. Highlights include nine guestrooms overlooking a hippo-filled lagoon and two unique hides, including a sunken one where the viewing panel is just above the surface of the lagoon. From £350 per person per night. Prices include all meals, activities and drinks (except premium imports).
