Tucked away on Thailand’s Andaman Coast, the tropical province of Krabi is an idyllic region of excellent hotels, sparkling seas and towering limestone karsts. Tiny islands dot the coast and you can easily visit them by hiring a long tail boat – you won’t get a better chance to play at being Robinson Crusoe. You could explore the mangrove swamps and forests of Krabi by kayak, or take a trip to Red Rock for some great snorkelling and diving. The main tourist centre is Ao Nang beach and this is where you’ll find many of Krabi’s hotels.
